My Family History

Filed under: Uncategorized — Justin @ 12:25 am

I decided to add another of my short stories to the site. Go check under the button up there on the right that says “Stories.” My Family History is a short story that I wrote about a year ago. It’s an exploration of an idea I had once about narcoleptics and soul sharing and…. you’ll have to see the rest for yourself.

Choreographed Blinking

There’s a new button on the Rhythmic Symphony home page, right up there on the right. “Shop” is his name and he will take you to the all new Rhythmic Symphony shop where you can download songs individually or even buy the entire physical album. Shirts are also available as well as smoked salmon and Christmas scented lint, although I might have just made the last 2 things up.

Happy New Years everyone!

Children of the Woods

Hey, kids.

It’s been a while. No excuses, just grape jelly. I am hatching a new plot to bring you all another Rhythmic Symphony album, so we’ll see if it works out this time. Thanks to everyone who has purchased The Mechanism Fulfilled recently. You have my heart felt gratitude. And I hope you’re reading this because it was wonderful and not because your hunting me down for my highly valuable pelt.

Happy August everyone!

Yup, just what it says; show tonight (April 17) canceled due to alien invasion. Not at all because of the blizzard.
The show will be rescheduled for late May.
Sorry guys. You’ll just have to stomp in grape jelly elsewhere.

Hey, everyone.
Well, not surprisingly recording kinda… imploded… again. I’m beginning to think that a new CD for us is linked with the end of the world or something. I dunno.
So we have a show coming up on Friday, April 17th! Come out and hear a bum-bunch of electro goodness.

We’re playing a show in Colorado Springs on March 12th (Thursday) @ The Loft! I’m pretty excited about this show since I believe its put on by the same crowd that used to run the Element, which was a great place in its time, AND Isopod (Dallas) and Situation (Albuquerque) will be performing as well.
See everyone there!

What… show? Yes.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Justin @ 9:55 am

We will be playing our first show of the year in Denver @ Lifespot on April 17th. More details to come as the date approaches.

It’s also worth mentioning that I’m considering a name change for Rhythmic Symphony. Although the name Rhtyhmic Symphony seemed really cool in the mid-90’s when I started this thing, I haven’t really liked the name for some time. I remember asking John from the band Skillet what the name of his band was about. He replied, “Absolutely nothing, and I hate it. So remember, if you’re going to start a band make sure you putĀ  thought into your name, because your band might actually take off and then you’re kind of stuck with it.” So, I’m tossing around a few new names, although Amber thinks they all sound a bit emo. Who knows, maybe we’ll just start a new project to take up in Rhythmic Symphony’s stead. Mostly, I just dunno.

Agatha’s Wake. Caliginous the Moon. Crashing Verdant. Of Once and Another.

Haha. I just made those up. Its a fun little game. Very little.

Woah! I could go to Paris for only pennies a day!

So…. spam bots are taking over the world, or at least my website. I’m limiting user registration, not because I hate you guys, but because the registered users are about 500 spambots to every 1 real person. It’s obnoxious, and it makes me violent.

Aside from the spambot apocolypse, Rhythmic Symphony is slowly kicking back into gear. So much of my creative energy has been going into writing stories and building board games, but my obsessive compulsive meter is slowly swinging back towards music. A couple of shows are in the works for late spring, by which time the new songs I’m working on should be finished and ready to be spread liberally across your warm, burnt toast, if you know what I mean.
